Alfredo Wagner
The region was already inhabited by indigenous people 3,000 years ago, when, at the end of the 18th century, there was the first attempt by "white" men to explore the wilderness, with the opening of a road connecting Desterro, the province capital, to Lages. At that time, the limits of the parish of São José extended to the limits of Lages.
Soldados Sebold
If you are coming to Alfredo Wagner to do the classic Soldier Sebold trail, the trailhead is 25 km from The JP House – path from 4×4 4×4 for 2 hours with steep stretches, bumpy roads and exuberant views. Whether by car or bike, you will love the challenge. Getting there is part of the adventure!
Gruta do Poço Certo
The place was an old Indian cemetery, and ended up getting a small altar in the cave, so that the locals could pray, since the chapels were far away. You can get there by car or on foot (1 km from the house) and a short walk along a 100 meter trail to a 42 meter high waterfall.
Ecotourism and adventure
